Our client wanted to refresh an old, uneven slabbed patio and create a modern, low-maintenance outdoor space. The brief was to replace the dated slabs with a seamless resin bound gravel surface, add brick edging, build an additional step for easy access, and install an ACO channel drain along the house wall to improve rainwater runoff.

The Challenge:
The original patio surface had become weathered and uneven over time, leading to poor drainage and puddling near the property. The client wanted a stylish, practical solution that would last for years and complement the home’s exterior.
Our Solution:
Our team began by removing the existing concrete slabs and preparing the sub-base to ensure stability and correct levels. A new ACO channel drainage system was fitted along the house wall to efficiently collect and divert any rainwater.
Next, we constructed a new brick-edged border to frame the patio area and added a bespoke step to improve access. The surface was then finished with Blizzard Grey resin bound gravel, a premium, permeable material that provides a smooth, durable, and contemporary finish.
