Our Solution:
Following an initial site assessment, our team designed and implemented a stabilisation strategy to prevent further ground movement and restore the integrity of the carriageway.
The works included:
- Cat scan for existing services, excavate to required depth exposing sub formation.
- Installation of timber shuttering to provide a secure working boundary and temporary support.
- Lay geotextile to sub formation.
- Pour a two-stage reinforced concrete application to stabilise and strengthen the carriageway edge, including relaying of existing edging kerbs.
- Asphalt reinstatement to restore the carriageway surface and ensure long-term durability.
- Reinstallation of the existing fence, with replacement of worn or damaged sections to match the existing aesthetic.
- Final surface dressing of the carriageway to complete the works and provide a seamless finish.
Outcome
The completed works successfully stabilised the carriageway and safeguarded the client’s property from further subsidence. The reinstated surface and fencing were finished to a high standard, ensuring both functional and visual continuity with the surrounding area.
