EV Charging Point Installation for AAH Pharmaceuticals

Project Overview

As businesses across the UK continue to transition towards more sustainable operations, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure has become a critical part of modern workplace facilities. Our team was commissioned to deliver a full EV charging installation for AAH Pharmaceuticals, creating a reliable and accessible charging solution for staff and fleet vehicles.

The project involved the installation of three dual EV chargers, enabling up to six vehicles to charge simultaneously. In addition to the charging infrastructure itself, the works required significant groundworks, electrical preparation, and the creation of a safe and functional footway area within the existing car park.

Scope of Works

Groundworks and Site Preparation

To prepare the site for the charging infrastructure, our team first undertook excavation works along the existing bank to create a suitable footway area for the installation. This included the removal and responsible disposal of trees and surrounding foliage, ensuring the area was cleared safely while maintaining site compliance.

Once the site was prepared, we installed 45 metres of ducting within the concrete car park, allowing electrical services to be routed safely and efficiently to the new charging points by Woodstock Street Lighting.

Electrical Infrastructure

A key element of the project was establishing the electrical supply required to support multiple EV chargers. Our team installed a dedicated electrical feeder pillar, along with charging point bases and ducting, ensuring the infrastructure was future-ready and capable of supporting consistent high-demand charging.

The ducting system was carefully installed to protect cabling while maintaining accessibility for future maintenance or upgrades.

Footway Reconstruction and Finishing Works

Following the installation of the electrical infrastructure, the surrounding area was reinstated to provide a durable and professional finish.

The footway was reconstructed using Type 1 sub-base and asphalt surfacing, creating a strong and long-lasting pedestrian area that integrates seamlessly with the existing car park.

To complete the installation and ensure safe vehicle positioning, the following finishing works were carried out:

  • Installation of bump stops to protect the charging equipment
  • White line marking to clearly define EV charging bays
  • Final surface finishing to ensure a clean and accessible layout

The Result

The completed installation provides six EV charging spaces for AAH Pharmaceuticals, supporting the organisation’s move toward more sustainable transport solutions. The project not only delivered modern charging infrastructure but also improved the functionality and safety of the surrounding car park area.

Through careful planning, quality groundworks, and precise electrical installation, the new EV charging facilities offer a reliable and future-proof solution that will support both staff and fleet vehicles as electric mobility continues to grow.

Supporting the Transition to Electric

Projects like this demonstrate how businesses can integrate EV infrastructure into existing sites with minimal disruption while enhancing their environmental commitments.

By delivering end-to-end solutions, from excavation and groundwork to electrical installation and final surfacing, we help organisations take practical steps towards a greener and more sustainable future.
